    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Sjoberg is alleged to have shared right-wing posts, but he maintains that he is not the author of said material and that he has a broad range of accounts that he follows. Nevertheless, he has stepped back just a day before Djurgardens take on Chelsea in what is undoubtedly the biggest game in the Swedish club's history.

  • WHAT SJOBERG SAID

Sjoberg said: "When I speak out for Djurgardens Football, I do so in Djurgardens' channels, or directly with journalists who have approached me for the role of representative of Djurgardens Football.

"I publish very little on social media myself, and when I do, it is usually of a family nature. However, I follow many accounts on different social media – from different political sides, from different religious views, and from different positions in society.

"I share/like some of what I see in my feed, but I almost never write anything of my own."
